ASEANCHAM-EU is glad to welcome our newest member, Magemar!

Magemar is part of the Group Magemar-Magetra, a family group belonging to Philippe MAIRLOT and François MAIRLOT and existing since 1937.
The main activities of the Group are in the logistics and transport with a dozen of offices in Europe, one office in China and dedicated agents on all 5 continents. Altogether, the Group counts 650 persons and realized in 2022 a turnover of 170 million of euros.

There are two branches in the Group, the road transportation with their own fleet of 350 trucks, Magetra, and their maritime activity, Magemar.
Magemar branch is specialized in forwarding operations for which they have been organizing international breakbulk or container transport for decades.

Their activities have developed significantly in Asia over the past 20 years. They therefore opened a branch in Xiamen, China, in 2006.
Nowadays, they very clearly see that the ASEAN zone growingly becoming important in Asia and as one of the major actor in the world economy. Convinced that its potential will offer great opportunities in the trade exchange, they consider that it is the right step for their group to be more present on this market by setting up an office.

As they have realized successfully in China, they believe it is better to join their forces with a local company that has a well-established network and a good knowledge of the market. Therefore, they privilege a partnership in the form of a Joint-Venture where both parties can benefit from the knowledge and experience in their own respective market.
