Leo Faber

Mr. Leo Faber is holding a Master Degree in Classical and Modern Chinese Philology, and European History from the University of Trier, Germany. He has spent most of his career as a Luxembourg diplomat in Asia, in China, Vietnam and Laos. He was Head of the European Union Delegation in Laos from 2016 to 2020.

He also served as a Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as at the Permanent Representation of Luxembourg to the United Nations in New York.

Mr. Faber has extensive experience in development cooperation, human rights and intercultural dialogue.

He speaks and writes French, German, English and Chinese.

Mr. Faber is married and has three children.
