Singapore Airlines launches direct flights to Brussels from Singapore

Singapore Airlines, which had been most recently awarded the World’s Best Airlines by Skytrax, announced that it will restart flights to Brussels, Belgium from 6 April 2024, more than 20 years since the route was last flown by them. While SQ cargo freighters have been a common sight at Zaventem airport, the new route will bring passenger A350s to Brussels, landing at Zaventem in the morning four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and depart Brussels for Singapore in the afternoon on the same days.

This will mark the first direct route between Brussels and an ASEAN country since the restart of international travel post-Covid pandemic – Thai Airways had previously flown Brussels-Bangkok but stopped during the Covid pandemic.

ASEANcham-EU is extremely heartened by this decision of Singapore Airlines and we look forward to more direct routes being opened up to allow for further people-to-people exchanges between both regions.
