ESMA invites stakeholders for input on European Single Electronic Feedback

The European Securities and Market Authorities (ESMA) is inviting stakeholders for inputs on the European Single Electronic Feedback (ESEF) on sustainability reporting. Interested companies have until 31 March 2025 to respond to this consultation via the link here

The ESEF is important for its relevance to firms covered by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and are required to report on their sustainability reporting obligations. It also covers all companies listed in the EU. Stakeholders will be asked for their opinions on areas such as the assessment framework, the phased approach to implementation and the proposed timetable.

A key goal of the consultation is to obtain feedback on the integration of digitised sustainability and financial information into the forthcoming European Single Access Point [1]. ESMA has been tasked to design an online platform to centralise access to publicly available information relevant to financial services, capital markets, and sustainability.

In order to be more involved in the EU policy-making process and to ensure that the Commission takes into account the interests and concerns of ASEAN businesses, ASEANcham strongly encourages businesses to participate in this consultation.
