Elections for the European Parliament will take place on 6-9 June 2024. In the elections, EU citizens will elect representatives from local political parties who align themselves with one of the political groups in the European Parliament (or stand as non-aligned candidates).
The 24th meeting of ASEAN’s and EU’s foreign ministers, also known as the EU-ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AEMM), took place in Brussels on 2 February. The meeting covered a wide range of issues from economic and trade issues like the Global Gateway Initiative and the potential ASEAN-EU FTA, to political discussions on Myanmar, Ukraine and Israel-Gaza.
The EU’s Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), which seeks to regulate the use of AI in the EU, is expected to enter into force soon. This regulation will determine how businesses use AI in the EU and how they will be held accountable.
